Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I and my husband are both unable to have a proper conjugal relation. Both of us are working professional. I am outside for my work from 9 AM to 7 PM. My husband is outside from 10.30 AM to 9.30 PM for work. My husband mostly prefers sex in the midnight like after 11.30 PM whereas I prefer sex in the morning and cannot stay awake till late in the night due to which we are unable to copulate. Kindly help us find a solution.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

The solution is plain simple. You both must reach a mutual decision and then work accordingly. You can give it a go between 10 to 11 PM when you both are at home. Or it can be like sometimes at midnight and sometimes in the morning. Best is to make it a random thing whenever both feel like doing it, go for it instead of specifying a particular time for it. Besides weekends and holidays are the times to freshen up the things.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

If a man can get an erection by watching porn and can masturbate and ejaculate, does that mean he can do penetrative sex also? How long it takes for a man to get an erection?

Answered by Dr. Aditya Gupta

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

If a man achieves an erection during masturbation then it means there is no physical or organic illness that can lead to failure of erection. Simply speaking he shall achieve an erection during penetrative sex also and able to do intercourse. If still, any problem arises during intercourse then it points towards a psychological cause, performance anxiety being most common. There is no ideal duration and it depends on the state of arousal. It also varies from one sexual encounter to other.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
