Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I cannot find vitamin E capsules here in our place. Are there any other recommendations for it? Can acupuncture or massage work alone? It is getting worse.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Please describe your problems in detail. Why do you need vitamin E capsules? Why is acupuncture or a massage needed? If you tell me your problems in detail and what type of help you want, I will be able to help you.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

This page recommended vitamin E 200 mg for my last consultation. I feel stabbing pain in my right back of the shoulder, like burns, but there is no external wound. The pain started five to six days ago.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Vitamin E is treats nocturnal muscle cramps, intermittent claudication, male infertility, hair loss, and many others. The feeling of stabbing pain in the right back of the shoulder may be the result of muscle strain due to various causes such as pinched nerve, tendonitis, torn cartilage, gall bladder or lungs problems, and many more.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Can you help me to cure the pain? I woke up from my sleep; it suddenly felt painful. I thought it was just muscle cramps, but the pain is there till now. The pain is not constant, and there are times that it is really painful, like burning. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Muscle strain, sprains, and spasms may affect the muscles of that particular area, resulting from overuse, sleeping in an odd position, or poor posture. Some medications and measures such as taking NSAIDs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) like Ibuprofen, Naproxen, or Aceclofenac with 'antiulcerant drugs', applying hot or cold compresses on the affected area two to three times daily, doing exercises like stretching or shoulder rolls, messaging around the affected area, proper rest, etc. may help reduce your present sufferings.

I would suggest the following medications:

  1. Tablet Advil (Ibuprofen) 400 mg or Midol (Acetaminophen) 400 mg one tablet in the morning and one at night after the meal, in case of pain.
  2. Tablet Lioresal (wheat starch and gluten) 10 mg one tablet in the morning and one at night for 14 days.
  3. Tablet Calciday (Calcium Carbonate 1500 mg and Vitamin D3 200 IU) one tablet in the afternoon for 14 days.
  4. Tablet Nexium (Esomeprazole) 40 mg one tablet in the morning before meal for 14 days.

Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with them and take medicines with their consent.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for the response. One concern is my left knee, I kind of hurt it somewhere, or I do not recall the exact date, but I remember it started when I played badminton. I felt a sound; afterward, I could not run long distances anymore. It also hurts when I take stairs, it is not painful right now, but I do not usually do my usual routine. It also hurts when I jump with it. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

According to your statement, your knee hurts while jumping, taking stairs, or walking for a long distance, so you may suffer from a jumper's knee. Jumper's knee is the inflammation of the patellar tendon that connects the patella to the tibia. It may result from a sports-related injury.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

What to do with the pain in the doctor? I cannot do marathons again, and I can run with it but not the same as before. When I forget about it and not be careful, it also hurts when I do rapid turns.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Some measures and medications can be taken to subside your jumper's knee or patellar tendonitis. I have already mentioned that your knee will hurt during jumping, running, changing direction, etc., which puts a lot of strain on the patellar tendon.

I would suggest the following medications:

  1. Tablet Flexxbon (Glucosamine sulfate 495 mg, Chondroitin sulfate 400 mg) one tablet in the morning and one tablet at night for 30 days.
  2. Tablet Neurobion (vitamin B) for 30 days.
  3. Take these two medications, as mentioned above, which are already prescribed. If your suffering does not subside after taking these medications, add oral steroids for seven days after a meal and the drugs mentioned above.

Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with them and take medicines with their consent.

Thank you.
