Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 47-year-old male. I had a nasty fall and MRI established post-traumatic injuries in the right humerus head and shoulder. I took medicines for two months. The doctors said it has healed but I am unable to move my hand rear side. It is painting a lot. Unable to pick even a small weight. Please advise.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

The probable causes are:

  1. Fracture non-union.
  2. Rotator cuff tear.
  3. Frozen shoulder.
  4. Your MRI report is incomplete (attachment removed to protect patient identity) and does not describe the initial except for showing hyperintensity. I suspect that you dislocated your shoulder and the humeral head has a Hillsach lesion. I will recommend getting a fresh X-ray to rule out a non-union. Has your MRI been reviewed by another radiologist to getting a more clear diagnosis? You can upload your MRI films for me to see. Finally, you should see a good physiotherapist for a frozen shoulder who could help. I will recommend that you can get the diagnosis before you proceed.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
