Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have recovered from 40 percent burn damage, but still, my skin is raised, stiff, and itching. Should I consult a doctor?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

I looked over the image (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). The images depict a hypertrophic scar. First, apply the emollient twice daily and massage it into the spot. Next, create a pressure garment in the size of your hand and leg and the healed burn region. These items will alleviate the itching and raised skin. However, you must wear the garment for 24 hours and use it for 8-12 months.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

Which emollient should I use on my skin? Please suggest a name. Is there anything else I can do to reduce the itching?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

I would suggest you use an Hydromax cream (emollients and humectant). It is a blend of strong formulation of emollients and humectants.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
