Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a male, weighing 70 kilograms and 167 centimeters tall. The skin on my face is much darker than the skin on my body. I want to get back my original skin tone.

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query.

I understand your concern. As per the history and image provided (attachment removed to protect the patient’s identity), hyperpigmentation of the facial skin depends upon multiple factors, including genetics, sun exposure, medications, skincare routine, stress, sleep deprivation, and climatic factors. I suggest you to follow a few instructions mentioned below.

1. Follow a skincare routine consistently.

2. Undergo procedures for skin brightening.

3. Use Salicyclic acid face wash twice daily. Apply and massage in gentle circular motions, and wash off in one minute.

4. Apply a Vitamin C serum after using the face wash. Apply four to five drops of the serum onto your skin and gently massage and let it absorb for one minute.

5. Use a skin-lightening cream containing Glutathione at night after serum application. Apply a very thin layer of the skin-lightening cream over your facial skin.

6. Use sunscreen with SPF 50 in the morning after using the serum. Apply a teaspoon quantity, massage, and repeat the application every two hours to prevent hyperpigmentation.

7. Take capsule Evion 400 milligrams (a vitamin E supplement) once daily after food at night for two months.

8. Take tablet Limcee 500 milligrams (chewable ascorbic acid tablet) twice daily (after breakfast and dinner).

9. Take Glutathione injections (skin whitening injections) for skin brightening. These can be done once or twice a week for ten sessions.

10. You can take facial chemical peeling procedures to help with the hyperpigmentation of the skin. These are done in six sessions.

11. Eat healthy food, and consume more fruits, vegetables, and water.

12. Avoid too much sun exposure and use sunscreens and physical protectants like caps, shades, full-sleeve t-shirts, etc., to protect yourself from the sun.

Kindly consult a dermatologist in person to undergo the procedures mentioned above. You may also be prescribed oral glutathione medications for the same following the sessions to maintain them. Kindly consult a specialist, talk to them and take medications with their consent.

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.
