Hi doctor,
I am 24 years old. My skin is injured due to the spine of a caterpillar. I have severe pain in the affected area. I am unable to remove the spine. I used antiseptic cream and hot water with Savlon. But it has not cured. Please help.

You have skin injury due to caterpillar spine. Its hair or spine has to be removed through a gloved hand. You can use adhesive tape to remove its spine or hair. After removing, a topical steroid cream can be applied. An oral antihistaminic drug like Levocetirizine can also be used. Ice wrapped cloth can be applied over the affected area. I suggest you consult a nearby allopathic doctor for further management.
