Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have had these red bumps on my stomach for six days. A little up my chest, neck, and arm. They are not itchy too much. I have been using Cortisone and it has not gotten any better. Now it sort of looks like my boyfriend might be starting to get them on his back. Not 100 percent sure. I am currently on Lexapro.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Lesions are looking like red papules. (attachment removed to protect patient identity). Miliaria is common if you are sweating more. Some are looking infected. Is there any fluid coming out of some lesions? Any chance these are subsiding after a few hours? If your friend is also getting it then it can be folliculitis. It is a mild bacterial infection. If available please use Mupirocin or Fusidicacid cream. Apply Calamine lotion once. Anti itch medications in the night. Drink a lot of water.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

And nothing is coming out. But they somewhat look like pimples like they could. Sometimes through the day, I think they look better, but then they look bad again. I was wondering from sweating too. But I cannot say besides one day last week I was sweating.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

If it is increasing by sweating or an increase in body heat then it is miliaria. Keep hydrated. Bath twice, not with hot water. Drink a lot of water and fluids. Take fruits that rich in vitamin C.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
