Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have fever since last night. These small spots on the back. I am sending the picture through email. Please advise what it can be.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through the images (attachment removed to protect patient identity). Are these distributed evenly on the back, also in the chest? If yes, it strongly raises the possibility of chickenpox, especially if not suffered from it in the past.

If these lesions are distributed only in a small localized area then likely to be herpes infection. Please upload a few more pics from the distance. Also, check the other body parts for lesions.

You will need Acyclovir based on body weight if it is chickenpox. Consult a specialist doctor, discuss with him or her and start taking the medicines with their consent.

You can apply Lactocalamine lotion locally for a soothing effect. Also, I suggest Paracetamol 500 mg for fever.

Are there other symptoms like sore throat, cough, burning on urination? It is better if you can get yourself examined by a local doctor in person.

Hope this helps you and get back if you have any doubts.
