Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I wake up repeatedly because of noise from the window and bad dreams whenever I sleep alone. My family leaves me forcefully alone at home all night. Then the headache starts. When I cry, headache increases. I have no help. I cannot continue my job like this. I have zero support from family, and I am in stress. Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

The repeated disturbance of sleep actually can be due to stress and of course, noise from the window can also. This sleep issues can lead to a headache. So start practicing good sleep hygiene. You can search it as it includes going to bed and coming out from bed at a fixed time. Keep your bedroom dark and quiet. Close the window from where noise is coming. Do not nap during the daytime. Avoid watching TV or mobile one hour before going to bed.

You can take Paracetamol or Naproxen for headache whenever required. You need to take some time from your busy schedule for yourself. Go for a walk, do some yoga, meditation, or exercise. This will help you to come out of your constant stress. Continue stress can lead to depression, so please visit a nearby psychiatrist for further evaluation. Antidepressants such as Escitalopram or Paroxetine can help you to manage that. This medicine will also help in sound sleep.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
