Common "Sleep Walking" queries answered by top doctors | iCliniq

Sleep Walking

Sleepwalking is a type of sleep disorder, where an individual may get up from the bed, start walking, do routine chores or even leave the house when they are still asleep. This usually occurs in a deep stage of sleep known as the nonrapid eye movement stage (NREM). The person will not have any memory of the sleepwalking episode if you ask them about it the next morning. If this recurs frequently, one should approach the doctor. Chances are, one may end up getting injured while sleepwalking.
