Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am having spotting for three days. I took the tablet Primolut-N twice for three days more than a week ago and now I am having spotting. I had one tablet of Primolut-N yesterday but it did not stop spotting either. I am having period flow, what should I do?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

While Primolut N (Norethisterone) is commonly used to regulate menstrual cycles and control abnormal bleeding, it is not always effective in all cases. You should go for an ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis. In the meantime, you can keep track of your bleeding by noting the amount, color, and consistency of the discharge. You may also want to use sanitary pads or panty liners to avoid staining your clothing. It is also important to avoid using tampons or engaging in sexual activity until the cause of the spotting has been identified and addressed.

Feel free to contact me for further queries.

Thanks and take care.
