Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am getting blood spotting during sex. This is the second time it is happening. It is not heavy and happens only during sex. It does not continue afterward. I am 37 years old. My period has stopped over a week now. Sometimes I feel abdominal pain after sex. Is it something should I be worried about? I am not under any medication.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Bleeding during or after intercourse occurs due to some hormone disturbances or infections.

Do you have any signs of infection there?

Do you have regular periods?

Reply with details, it will help to advise you properly. Meanwhile, I advise you to,

1. Clean the vagina with vaginal wash regularly.

2. Put Clingen (Clindamycin and Clotrimazole) vaginal tablets inside. One tablet per day for three days.

3. Take a capsule of Itraconazole 200 mg, one tablet per day.

4. Tablet Zathrin (Azithromycin) 500 mg, one tablet per day.

5. Tablet Metrogyl Er (Metronidazole Extended Release) twice a day.

Continue all these medications for three days.

Follow up after three days.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
