Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have been sick for three weeks. My primary care physician advises me to consult a gastrointestinal physician. My blood tests and x-ray laboratory results were both normal. Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query,

I have reviewed your case history in detail and attached laboratory investigations (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity).

Your blood sugar, kidney, liver functions, complete blood profile and electrolytes were all normal, except some mild infection within your urine. I did not find anything related to your stomach on this attached reports.

  1. Do you have stomach bug? Are you talking about helicobacter pylori bacterial infection of stomach?
  2. Do you have reduced appetite, nausea, vomiting or heartburn? Also, have abdominal pain, loose stools or diarrhea?
  3. Any alarming features like blood in stools or vomiting?
  4. Unintentional weight loss?
  5. Any remarkable family history related to stomach, including cancer ? History of eating out in last four weeks or any unusual meals?
  6. Any travel in last two months? Any recent stressors?
  7. Do you feel your symptoms got worse with stress or anxiety? Is Famotidine helpful for your symptoms?
  8. Why are you using Promethazine and since how long has it been started?
  9. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
