Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I suffer from stomach flu for the past eight hours. And I am experiencing severe vomiting, and the color of the vomiting was yellow initially, now it has turned to pink and brown.

Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for the query. I can understand your concern.

According to your statement, you have been suffering from stomach flu and vomiting pink liquid. Pink vomit may result from damage to the throat, mouth, or gums. Stomach flu is also known as gastroenteritis. Watery diarrhea and vomiting are the most common symptoms of stomach flu. Some other symptoms like abdominal pain, fever, nausea, headache may also be present in stomach flu. For most of the causes, vomiting pink fluid is not a matter of great concern.

Kindly take plenty of fluids. Oral rehydration salt should be started. And antiemetics can be taken to stop vomiting. But, if this situation persists or bothers you, you should visit your doctor or emergency room for further evaluation and treatment purposes.

Take care.
