Hello doctor,

I am a 16-year-old female with pain above my belly button for about five days. It started suddenly when I was lying down and took medicine for nausea. But it did not help, and at night, I had severe pain, like throbbing pain inside the stomach at the same place. Also, I had diarrhea and vomiting all night and stopped eating after that. Finally, yesterday I had food, and the pain started, which was so severe. Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

It might be due to food poisoning. I would suggest the following:

  1. Tablet Pantoprazole 40mg (proton pump inhibitor) tablets once daily.
  2. Have probiotic like Darolac.
  3. Have bland food for a couple of days.
  4. Keep yourself well hydrated.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.
