Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My dad had a brain hemorrhage surgery last week. He is still on the ventilator and is just having body moment. There is right side paralysis and left side head surgery. There is no eye moment. My father also has high blood pressure. What should I do? Please help me.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com. This is aserious and critical state. Now, he must be having a big hemorrhage requiring surgery, so the results are variable. I suppose he is on the right line of treatment and once he improves, he can be taken off the ventilator. But, the battle does not end here. Following a major stroke, the recovery will be slow with gradual passive mobilization and physiotherapy, which can be discussed once he is off the ventilator. At present, I cannot help you much as this is a critical state and the treating doctor must be on the right path.
