Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have swelling in my gums and my lower lip. Also, sometimes I feel burning sensations inside my mouth and around my lips. I have been having night sweats also. I consulted a doctor and they told me I have mild gum disease, so I started flossing once a day. I also have two palpable, swollen lymph nodes on my neck each side of Adam’s apple. They are around three-fourth size of a golf ball.

Please help me with my condition and tell me what is the reason?

Hello,

Welcome to the icliniq.com

I have read your query and understood your concern.

However, without the attachment photographs of the mouth and neck, it is difficult to rule out the reason.

Based on your chief complaint, symptoms, and neck swellings, it is definitely an infection.I suggest you follow the instructions mentioned below,

  1. Take a tablet of Ofloxacine 200mg (antibiotic) and a tablet of Ornidazole 500mg (Antiprotozoal) twice a day for seven days.
  2. Use Chlorohexidine (antiseptic) 0.1% mouthwash twice a day for 15 days.

By taking these medications for a week, your symptom should resolve. However, if these symptoms persist even after taking medication, for precise diagnosis, if possible attach photographs of the lesions.

Kindly consult a specialist, talk with them, and take the medications with their consent

I hope this has helped you out.

Kindly follow up if you have more doubts.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
