Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have noticed redness and inflammation of the gums in my lower teeth. I also saw my teeth appear longer, with triangular-shaped, tiny gums between the lower teeth. Is it something to worry about?

Please help

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query and understood your concern.

Your teeth appear normal except for the redness (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). It is either due to food lodgement or harsh brushing technique. If you do forceful brushing, then I suggest you stop doing that. Also, I suggest you follow the instructions mentioned below.

1. Use a soft-bristled toothbrush for brushing your teeth.

2. Brush twice a day.

3. Rinse mouth with lukewarm water after brushing.

4. Gargle with lukewarm water and salt and turmeric mixture twice a day after brushing.

5. Make sure the lukewarm water mixture reaches the teeth in the lower row while rinsing.

Gums always appear pyramidal or triangular in between teeth. So, do not worry.

I hope this has helped.

Kindly follow up with updates on your status.

I wish you good health and happiness.
