Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am an 18-year-old female. I suffer from swollen groin lymph nodes, headache, and dizziness when I stand up. I have a fever of 100 degrees Fahrenheit, body aches, and chills. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Swollen lymph nodes accompanied by fever are a sign of infection around the region where lymph nodes are swollen. Since in your case, groin lymph nodes are swollen and painful it could be an infection around the leg, thigh, or groin region. Have you noticed any swelling or redness around these areas? Without seeing the infection, it is difficult to treat. However, if it is an infection antibiotics are needed. I suggest you take one tablet of Tylenol (Acetaminophen) twice a day for three days and one tablet of Augmentin (Amoxicillin and Clavulanic Acid) 625 mg thrice a day for five days. Take these medicines. If the symptoms do not improve in a couple of days please consult a doctor at a nearby hospital who will examine you and treat you accordingly.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
