Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I consulted a doctor two months ago because my penis tip was purple. The doctor said it was because of breaking tiny blood vessels under the meatus. He said to keep a watch. It has been over two months now, and the condition is persisting. It burns a little when I pee. My penis tip is also a bit swollen. Urine is not yellow colored. Do I have an infection?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query. I understand your concern. You may have torn the frenular vessel. Could you help me with a few more details: Have you had rough intercourse or masturbation before? Do you have any difficulty retracting your penile skin? Do you have trouble passing urine, like straining to pee or feeling incomplete bladder emptying? Could you please upload some pictures of the area?

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I did not retract my foreskin for the past year. It was a bit tight. So my glans is sensitive to touch. So I did small stretching exercises and pulled gradually. No rough intercourse or masturbation, but I did have difficulty retracting my foreskin. I do not know if I pulled my foreskin too hard. Earlier, if I pulled my foreskin down, it was difficult to pull it back up. Now it is better but not completely smooth. I do not have to strain to pee, nor do I have a feeling of an incomplete bladder. It just slightly burns when I pee. However, when I pulled my foreskin down, it was difficult to pee because it was tight. I experience the burning sensation mostly in the nighttime. Also, the tip of the penis surrounding the urethral meatus is a bit swollen.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

With the symptoms you are describing, it seems like it may be a torn or inflamed frenulum. This has likely happened due to the tight foreskin you had, a condition called tight frenulum or phimosis. The discoloration is something that you have noticed coincidentally. If your foreskin continues to be tight, the best thing to do would be to get a circumcision or frenuloplasty, as it stops the chances of this happening again. It is a simple procedure from which you recover within two weeks. Not only will it help sort out this problem, but it will also make maintaining hygiene easier.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
