Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had a canine milk tooth in the upper set of teeth that did not fall on time. So another canine tooth came behind it. I did not notice it first, and it was not causing any issues. Then the root of the milk tooth started losing its grip, and I had to get it removed. The actual canine tooth is there, but it is not in the proper place. When I close my mouth, it is behind the set of lower teeth instead of the front, like all the other upper teeth. I have checked with the local dentist, and they mentioned they would need to wire all my teeth to get this one in place. Is there any way to get it in place without impacting other teeth? Please advise.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

The most traditional way to correct your smile is the braces that are placing wires around your teeth. But since you are not comfortable with braces, there is another way to correct the smile. It is called invisible braces or clear aligners, which will be invisible, and it is removable also. But it is expensive and needs to be taken care of. I advise you to get OPG (orthopantomogram). I hope this was helpful.
