Temperomandibular joint disorder is a disorder that causes pain and inflammation in the jaw muscles and nerves of the temporomandibular joint. There is jaw pain, discomfort in jaws, headache, difficulty in chewing, earache, ringing in ears, and clicking of the jaw. Excessive grinding, stress, and arthritis can cause TMJ disorder. It is treated by taking medications, physiotherapy, and using bite guards help a lot.
