Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am 25 years old. I had unprotected intercourse with my fiance 20 days back. He withdrew before ejaculation, still, I took Unwanted 72 after three hours to prevent pregnancy meanwhile. Next day, I got a vaginal fungal infection for which I took Candid V6 for six days (symptoms are relieved now, still I get ocassional vaginal itching). Now after nine days, my breasts feel tender and areola portion is little swollen. I feel a little bit fatigued and breathless also. What can be this due to? Is this PMS? Are there any chances of pregnancy? Can antifungal tablet reduce the efficacy of the pill? What can be done meanwhile? I do not want to get pregnant at this time as we are not ready yet.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

As your cycle length is 27 days, and you had unprotected intercourse on day 8 or 9 of your cycle which was the most fertile period of your cycle. So, do not worry, wait till your next periods. If they occur in time, then there is no pregnancy but in your case, the chances of pregnancy are more. If pregnancy occurs, then get an ultrasound, if it is in the uterus, then medicines are there for an abortion.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
