Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have a horrible pain in the back of my head, and my ears feel blocked. There is no wax. I have cleaned them. I am petrified. There is a tumor that has been missed. I had an magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) brain scan three months back which came back normal (no intracranial abnormalities). I have sinusitis too. Kindly help me.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com. As such your symptoms fit into chronic tension headache. However, to be sure, I need the following details: 1. Since when are you having these symptoms? 2. Any visual issues? 3. How severe is the headache on a scale of 0 to 10? 4. What medicines have you been taking for this? 5. How is your blood pressure?

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I do not have any visual changes. I am taking Pregabalin. As the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) was fine three months back, would everything still be fine?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com. Your symptoms do not suggest tumor in any way. Moreover, your magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is normal (attachment removed to protect patient identity). So, it is just your anxiety that is troubling you. Stop thinking about the headache, and that is the key. My recommendations would be to start you on an SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor) like Escitalopram, which would help you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
