Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have had pain in my testis for the past seven months. My doctor prescribed me medications that helped me. But sometimes I feel uncomfortable especially after taking a bath and while bending. I have undergone an ultrasound scan, and everything was normal. What should I do now?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query. I understand your concern. Testicular pain can be due to testis, stone, torsion infection, or rarely prostate swelling. Since all reports were normal, prostate swelling is one possibility. You have to wear proper scrotal support. The symptoms can recur, but the recurrence rate is usually less severe and goes away with time. If possible, avoid excess pressure on the perineum. I suggest you to follow a few instructions, take the tablet Ofloxacin 400 mg once daily for 15 days. Take a tablet containing Diclofenac, Paracetamol, and Serratiopeptidase twice daily after meals for seven days. Take antacid once daily before breakfast for seven days. Kindly consult a specialist, talk to them and take medications with their consent.

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for your reply.

It has been 24 days since the problem occurred and I have been taking medicines since then.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

What medications are you currently taking?

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

There are two types of medications.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Please discontinue these medications and start the ones I have prescribed.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for your reply.

Now I get pain when pressed gently. Also, I am a cricket player, so can I start playing cricket now?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

You can play cricket, but ensure good scrotal support or tight underwear. If possible, avoid pressure on the perineum. Do not try to press the scrotum or keep checking for pain. If there is severe pain, swelling, or fever at any time, please consult a specialist.

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.

Should I wear scrotal supporter all the time?

Hello,

Usually, you need support when you are physically active or when there is pain.

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
