Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I want to get my health reports checked regarding my free testosterone levels. My free testosterone levels are 25 pg/ml. I am attaching the reports. Kindly review.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have seen the attached reports (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). Free testosterone of 25 pg/ml is low for a 25-year-old male. Why did you check the testosterone levels? Did you check SMBG (self-monitoring of blood glucose) and albumin levels? Do you take any medicines?

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 21-year-old male. Kindly check the reports that I have attached carefully. I checked the levels because I was facing difficulty in building muscles and less beard growth. No, I am not taking any medicines currently.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Free testosterone levels for a male from 20 to 25 years of age should be between 50 to 200 pg/ml. Free testosterone measurements can be less accurate. So your test results may not be 100 % reliable. Your total testosterone levels are within the normal range. How is your libido or sex interest? How are your erections? Not being able to build muscles and having less beard growth are not enough reasons to check testosterone levels. Are you taking any supplements, vitamins, or herbal medicines? Do you have a lot of abdominal fat? Do you smoke or drink alcohol? All these things may influence testosterone levels. I suggest you repeat a testosterone level in the morning fasting state by the Tandem mass spectrometry method. Also, check SMBG and albumin levels. Free testosterone level can be calculated.

Thank you.
