Threatened Abortion

Vaginal bleeding during the first 20 weeks of pregnancy is called a threatened abortion. Almost 20 to 30 % of pregnant women have vaginal bleeding during the first 20 weeks, and 50 % of these women carry their baby to term. The factors that increase the risk of abortion are bacterial or viral infections, stomach injury, maternal age over 35 years, etc.
