Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 20 years old. A month ago, I noticed few small pimples at the back of my tongue and I thought that they will get alright on their own. But, they have been there for almost a month. And, I have halitosis too. I often have a sore throat as well, but it is not severe.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

The bump can be due to a number of causes like oral infections, acid reflux, throat infections, or a post nasal drip. Halitosis or bad breath can occur due to poor oral hygiene, oral and dental infections, post nasal drip, sinusitis, acid reflux, respiratory infections, or diabetes. You should consult a dentist or an otolaryngologist and get evaluated clinically and with investigations depending upon the suspected cause. The treatment of the underlying cause will relieve the symptoms. As of now, you should start gargling with a flavored mouthwash twice a day. You should chew flavored sugarfree chewing gum. Do warm saline gargles twice a day. Limit the intake of high aroma foods like onion and garlic. Drink plenty of water and maintain a good oral hygiene.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
