Throat Irritation

Throat irritation or sore throat can be due to tonsillitis, common cold, pharyngitis, local irritant, smoke, COVID-19 infection, allergies, GERD, strain due to yelling, etc. Apart from the virus most common bacteria causing sore throat is Streptococcus. Symptoms include dysphagia, scratchiness, hoarseness of voice, pain while opening the mouth, etc. Antimicrobial treatment, along with gargle, can help relieve the condition.
