Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 23-year-old male. It is difficult to retract the foreskin and restore it to its original position. What should I do? Kindly suggest.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. A tight frenulum with a tight foreskin can cause difficulty in retracting and restoring it to its original position. This often causes pain during erection and sex and can even tear and bleed. Unfortunately, there is nothing that you can do to reverse it. I suggest you consult a doctor for a physical examination and undergo a circumcision or a frenuloplasty if required. These are simple procedures that can be done as daycare procedures.

I hope this helps you.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for your reply.

I retracted my foreskin, and it got stuck behind the gland and could retract it to its original position the next morning with difficulty. Kindly give your suggestions.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. Difficulty retracting and repositioning the foreskin is a sign of a tight frenulum (an extension of the skin on the underside of the glans penis) and tight foreskin. As I suggested, surgery is the only treatment option available.

I hope this helps you.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
