Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have had a rash on my hips and lower back for the past few months. The rash is mildly itchy, but I am worried as it is not going away. It tends to fade at times, and at other times, it becomes more prominent. I even consulted a doctor who suggested it was a fungal infection and prescribed Miconazole cream, which I applied for one month. However, this did not help. Also, a few months ago, I developed an armpit rash that went after the application of steroid cream. What could it be?

Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query and understood your concern.

It seems you are having tinea cruris or tinea corporis. I suggest you use the Terbinafine (antifungal) cream topically twice daily and take a tablet of Terbinafine 250 milligrams once daily for two weeks.

Kindly consult a specialist doctor, talk with them, and take medicines with their consent.

I hope this has helped you.

Thanks and regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
