Hi doctor,

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

  • How long it has been there? What is the complaint in it? Have you tried any self-medication?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

  • You have still not mentioned the complaint in it and also the duration of it, without which I am not in a position to suggest you the treatment.

Hi doctor,

It surfaced about two weeks back and it is a recurring event. I think it happened before 10 months. It looks more like lichen simplex chronicus I guess. Other than the embarrassing presence the scratching is not so much as. I am using the Abzorb antifungal powder regularly after shower over the affected areas. I guess that subsides the itching. Other than that nothing has been done yet. I request you to kindly suggest a treatment, either a cream or ointment for quick relief. How to avoid any further occurrence?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

  • By your history it is going more in favor of fungal infection, tinea cruris rather than lichen simplex chronicus (LSC).
  • LSC would have never responded to Abzorb powder (Clotrimazole), because it is purely antifungal powder and have nothing to do with itching.
  • So, I would suggest you to take a course for tinea infection.
  • I suggest you the following medication. Please consult your doctor, discuss with him or her and take the medicine with consent.
  1. Capsule Sporanox 100 mg (Itraconazole) twice daily for 10 days.
  2. Lamisil cream (Terbinafine), apply twice daily.
  3. Keep the area dry and you can keep using Abzorb powder to make it dry.
  4. Take Teczin 10 mg (Levocetirizine hydrochloride), once daily for 10 days.
