Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My mother is 57 years old. She has red patches and dark spots in the bottom of the foot. It itches most of the time. Many doctors have consulted, but no positive result from their treatment. Please suggest the best medication.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

To help your mother's condition, I am in need of few more details. Please answer the following questions. How long it has been there? Is she suffering from any systemic illness like diabetes, hypertension or any other? Is there pain in it? What medicine she had taken for it? Please send photograph of both legs and also upload her prescription.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

She has been taking treatment for diabetes and hypertension. I have attached the photos of her legs and the prescription. The first prescription is for diabetes and the second and third are skin treatment related. Please find the attachments. Please suggest a good medication.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

She is suffering from tinea pedis. Please make sure that her blood sugar will remain in control, otherwise, it is not going to get treated. Take the following medications with the consent of your specialist doctor and review them in 10 days.

  1. Capsule Sporanox 100 mg (Itraconazole) twice daily for 10 days.
  2. Apply Tyza cream (Terbinafine) twice daily.
  3. Tablet Clavam 625 mg (combination of Amoxicillin 500 mg and Clavulanate 250 mg) thrice daily for seven days.
  4. Stay away from water and keep it dry.
  5. Apply Abzorb powder (Clotrimazole) at night.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
