Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am having rashes all over my body. They first appeared as red spots near my mouth about a month ago, but now they are multiplying and spreading all over the body. These spots are itchy. I was taking tablet Telfast in the past. What should I do now? Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Do you have any history of allergies? Is your skin dry and scaly? Did you have scratching and rubbing of the lesions? Do you have a fever? Is the itching aggravating during the night? Revert with the answers to help you better. Take care.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Thanks for the reply. I have a very dry skin type, and I do not use moisturizers much. I saw some small bugs on my bed for more than a month, but I cleaned my room now. I do not have a fever or any allergies. I work at a fuel station as a console operator. Thanks.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

It is an atopic rash (due to mites) with T.versicolor superficial fungal infection due to excess sweating. On the facial lesions, apply Nadibact cream twice daily for 10 days. Use Permite BB bar soap (Elestab 0.1%) for a bath for 1 month. For the lesions below the neck (hands and legs), apply Kevon lotion (Ketoconazole) or Candid TV lotion (Clotrimazole and Selenium) 20 minutes before going to bath for 20 days. At night, apply 5 percent Permethrin single application on day 1. Apply below neck-to hands and legs all over the body except the face. Wash it off after 8 to 12 hours and repeat after a week (on day 7). Avoid scratching and rubbing of lesions. Maintain proper hygiene. Avoid sweating. Use Clotrimazole dusting powder (candid dusting powder) to control sweating. Apply powder immediately after bath. Cetaphil moisturizing lotion can be used after the lesion heals. Clothes and linen should be washed in warm water. Take tablet Levocetirizine 5 mg at night after 7 days (if there is itching). Itching may persist for 4 weeks and usually up to 7 to 10 days after treatment. Regards.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Can you please let me know some medications which can be available worldwide as I cannot find some? Can you also please advise me whether I need to change my bed and pillows? Can you please send me a list order like a prescription so that I can show it at my pharmacy and get them? Thanks again for your help.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Yes, hygiene plays a very important role in this. So change pillows or bedding, bedsheets every other alternate day. Take tablet Levocetirizine 5 mg at night after food for 7 days. Use Permite BB bar soap for a bath for 1 month. Apply Kevon lotion or Candid TV lotion 20 minutes before bath for 20 days. Use Clotrimazole dusting powder (candid dusting powder) after bath for 1 month. Use 5 percent Permethrin cream (Permite cream). Apply at night on Day 1 and Day 7. Apply below the neck to the whole body. You can use 2 percent Nadifloxacin cream (Nadibact cream) twice daily in the morning and night on the face for 10 days. You can use Cetaphil moisturizing lotion after the lesion heals (on dry skin). Regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
