Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have a severe toothache. What should I do? Is there any remedy to reduce pain and remove bacteria in the teeth?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern. Before we proceed, I would like to know which tooth of yours is having pain. Can you locate the tooth? For example, the upper right last tooth or the second from the last. Since when do you have the pain? Is it increasing on having cold or hot items? Has it increased in recent times and was less previously? There could be two reasons for a toothache. If the tooth is of the last segment and has not erupted completely (impacted tooth). It could be a pain in any of the teeth due to the presence of a cavity that has progressed further to roots and will require restoration or root canal treatment, which an X-ray can confirm. Suppose you do not want to proceed with root canal treatment. Eventually, it will spread further, infecting the other neighboring teeth or obliterating this tooth, and extraction (removal of the tooth) will be the only option left. In the case of impaction, there is no alternative. Take medicine for two to three days, reduce the pain and infection to get the tooth removed. Kindly provide me with the requested information, and I shall give you the appropriate solution. I hope this helps. Thank you and take care.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
