Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I use Melacare cream for the past four years. Now I want to stop using it. But when I try to stop, it produces irritation and turns my skin into very black. Can I use Keto soap to recover my skin?

Answered by Dr. Payal Chauhan

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Your condition is known as topical steroid dependent face (TSDF). Melacare has steroids and it is not advised to use it for more than six weeks and you are using it for the past four years. Use the medicines I am prescribing.

No, Keto soap does not have any benefit in this condition.

Probable diagnosis

TSDF.

Treatment plan

1. Tacvido Forte 0.1 (Tacrolimus) cream once at night. 2. Metrogyl 2 % (Metronidazole) cream once in the morning. 3. Suncros lotion (Octinoxate, Avobenzone, Oxybenzone) all over the face before going in the sun. 4. Tablet Allegra (Montelukast and Fexofenadine) 180 mg once at night. For one month.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
