Tuberculosis is a bacterial infection primarily affecting an individual's respiratory system. And so is covid-19, though it is caused by the coronavirus. But when tuberculosis and coronavirus hit someone at the same time, the prognosis is bad. For someone already suffering from tuberculosis, Covid-19 weakens the lungs furthermore making the situation worse. Moreover, the tuberculosis treatment regimen may also get interrupted.
