Hello doctor,
I was diagnosed with pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB) in the right lung through a chest X-ray a few months ago. I could not do the sputum test because I could not expectorate. I have been experiencing chest pains only. There is no fever, no coughing, and no night sweats. My doctor prescribed me a few drugs. However, I am still experiencing chest pains. I can feel it when I rise out of bed and breathe deeply. It feels like a stabbing pain in the center moving to the left side. However, I feel normal whenever I cough or sneeze. Do I need to worry? What are the characteristics of chest pain during tuberculosis (TB)? Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com. I went through your query and understood your concern. The cavities are wounds in the normal lung tissue. Cavities heal slowly. Pain is a normal symptom in such condition. If you are still experiencing unbearable pain, I suggest you take painkillers after consulting a specialist. Also, I suggest you practice a few breathing exercises and chest physiotherapy. I hope this has helped you. Thanks and regards.
