Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I fingered my girlfriend (rubbed clit only and no penetration). My fingers may or may not be dry when fingering because I touched my penis a couple of minutes before I touched her. It was only precum and strictly no ejaculation.

Provided:

- She used to be a healthy eater and physically active.

For- Last one month, she has been binging on junk and no exercise.

- Her first day of LMP (last menstrual period) was one month back.

- Her cycle usually happens for 25 days (with 3/4 days here and there).

- I have touched her one week back, assuming it is one week before menses. Now her periods are delayed four days. I am worried. Should I be worried? Or is it normal to have delayed periods? There was no fresh semen involved. I have not ejaculated then. And urinated after the last ejaculation. Vagina was not involved in any manner. She is a virgin. And the penetration of any kind with fingers is not involved.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Do not worry; according to what you have mentioned, it does not seem like she will be pregnant. But to be on the safer side, take one urine pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy. If negative, we can give medicine to induce periods.

Hope this helps.

Patient's Query

Hi,

Thank you for the reply.

But just out of curiosity. If at all a person had unsafe intercourse a week before periods. Is it possible to get pregnant?

Answered by Dr. Natasha Bansal

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Yes, there can be chances as sometimes ovulation day cannot be predicted if the patient has irregular cycles, and sperms can also survive up to five days in the female body, leading to pregnancy.

Regards.
