Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had sex today with my fiancee. Although we did not use protection, I did not cum into her. I am tense. What can we do to prevent pregnancy? Her periods are due next week. Please suggest.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query and understood your concern.

You had unprotected sex but did not ejaculate inside.

Although there are fewer chances of getting pregnant, I would suggest:

Use an emergency contraceptive pill, like I-pill or Unwanted 72. They are effective when taken up to 72 hours post-intercourse.

Do not forget to use contraception the next time.

Regards.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Does I-pill have adverse effects?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Taking an emergency contraceptive pill may delay the timing of the period by about a week. It does not have any other serious side effects. Do not worry.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
