Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

A 25 year old girl with a known complaint of PCOD since a month had unprotected intercourse on the 18th of last month. It was her 14th day of menses. She took Unwanted-72 within one hour of the act. She had bleeding on the 30th. The bleeding lasted for three days. Now, the question is, was that her regular periods or something else? Is she pregnant? She is taking tablet Normoz.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

This is her normal period if she had proper bleeding. But, if the bleeding was slight, then ask her to do a pregnancy test. She should have her next period around the end of this month. But, since she has PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome), there can be a delay in her period. The best thing would be to do a urine pregnancy test just to be 100 % sure.

Regards.
