Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had my last period two months back, and then I had unprotected intercourse in the first week of the previous month. I took Unwanted-72 within three hours of intercourse. After seven days of taking Unwanted-72, I had very light bleeding in the middle of the previous month. I have not got periods till the middle of this month. I had got UPT twice in the last week of the previous month and the middle of this month, and it came out negative every time. Is there anything to worry about? When can I expect my periods?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. However, in my opinion, you have menstrual irregularities due to hormonal imbalance caused by Unwanted-72 (Levonesgestrel). But better to get an ultrasound done to rule out pregnancy. If the ultrasound is normal, then no need to worry about pregnancy. Wait for four weeks more for normal periods. I hope I have solved your query.

I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health.

Thanks.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

There is no symptom of pregnancy. When can I expect periods?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

You have to wait for four more weeks. You need will mostly get a period between two to three weeks. Do you suffer from mood swings, breast pain, or stomach cramps? All these are symptoms of hormonal imbalance. So I am asking.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
