How can someone with UTI overcome the pain and irritation while passing urine?

Hello doctor,

I have been suffering from UTI for the past two days. Every morning I seem to be experiencing the urge of peeing which results in extreme pain after that. After drinking plenty of water the irritation seems to be stable. I am not on any medications currently. UTI started three months back and it went on for a while. Even though it had been stable for a few months, sometimes while peeing I experience irritation.

First of all, get a urine routine and urine culture done. I understand how troublesome a UTI (urinary tract infection) can be but do not worry about it as it can be treated very easily. Drink plenty of fluids and if it is very painful then you can take a painkiller. Get back to me with your urine routine results. If the pain worsens you can contact any hospital because emergency services are always available.
