Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have severe nausea, pain in the abdomen, dizziness, intense itching, and swelling all over. I believe it is a parasite infection, and I do not know where to go or who can treat me properly. I know it is something rare. I woke up today, and now my eyes are swollen. Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. According to your statement, you have been suffering from nausea, abdominal pain, dizziness, intense itching with swelling all over for the last few days. Your eyes are also swollen from today's morning.

According to your description, you may suffer from urticaria when an aggravating factor causes the secretion of high levels of histamines and other chemical messengers in the skin and develops such clinical features.

Urticaria may result from various underlying health conditions like allergic reactions such as food allergies, insect bites or sting, infections like cold, cold, or heat exposure, parasitic infestation, medications like NSAIDs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs), antibiotics or other medications, and many more.

Though parasitic infestation is rare, it is very common around the world. People of many countries routinely take antiparasitic medications without consulting their doctors. So, if you think your present urticaria may result from parasitic infestation, then you can take antiparasitic medications like Albendazole or Mebendazole.

At first, for your urticaria, the exact causes for your present sufferings should be found out via investigations and then treat them accordingly.

In the meantime, you can take antihistamines with or without corticosteroids for subsiding your present urticaria.

I hope this helps.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
