Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have itchy acne on my face due to dehydrated oily skin. I feel like my face is really sensitive and reddish. The face is always tight about, past two weeks it became more sensitive and itchy, especially on my chin and forehead.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I saw your picture (attachment removed to protect patient identity). Are you using any medication right now? Avoid dairy products bedtime, and avoid hand pricking. I will suggest a prescription. Start using it right now and review it after 15 days if there is no improvement; otherwise, continue it until acne settles down with time.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for your reply. I am not using any medicines now. Please send me a prescription.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Prescription is attached. Take Azithral (Azithromycin) 500 mg daily one after breakfast for six days, Acnerex (Aloe vera and Allantoin) face wash twice daily and use Peroclin (Clindamycin and Benzoyl Peroxide) gel 2.5% once daily at bedtime on affected acne.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thanks for your reply. I had completed the medication. Itchy acne on the face went away but stopped using Peroclin gel because of the burning sensation, and the area appeared dark. Still, I am getting acne, but not itchy. Dark spots are remaining on the face, and tiny itchy bumps and rashes started appearing on both hands. I do not know what will be the reason. It seems like an allergic reaction.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Saw your pictures (attachment removed to protect patient identity) of hands. Yes, mostly, they are urticarial wheels only. Start using Teczine M (Levocetirizine with Monteleukast) once-daily at night for ten days after dinner, Lorinol 10 mg (Loratadine) once daily for ten days after breakfast and Linical (Calamine, Zinc oxide, and Iron oxide) lotion as required. Avoid foods for ten days like chicken, mutton, fish prawns, cheese, paneer, egg, milk, carrot, beetroot, potato, sweet potato, arum, groundnut, chocolates, sauce, pickles, drumsticks, etc. Try to identify the possible trigger and avoid it. Review me after 21 days with your observation.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thanks for your query. I will follow the medication. Can you suggest me a moisturizer and sunscreen for my face? I feel oily but dehydrated inside. Can I continue using Acnerex facewash?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

You can try Acrofy (Glycerine, Propylene Glycol, and Niacinamide) moisturizer and Doux Uv (Zinc oxide, Titanium Dioxide, and Bemotrizinol) sunscreen.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
