Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have a uterine fibroid measuring 7 cm. I am planning to have a child, and the doctor told me it is very difficult to conceive with this huge fibroid. Please suggest some medications to shrink the fibroid.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

There are many methods to control the fibroid other than surgery. Medicines used to shrink fibroids are gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) analogs, anti-inflammatory drugs, and progesterone-releasing devices. Few minimally invasive surgeries like uterine artery microembolization and myomectomy are also done for the same. I suggest you consult your specialist doctor and select a suitable treatment according to his opinion and your medical condition.

I hope I was helpful to you.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
