Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 46 years old and have three fibroids of 71 mm, 38 mm, and 5 mm each in my right ovary. In addition, I have painful cramps during my periods. Currently taking ayurvedic supplements and natural progesterone cream. Is there any ayurvedic remedy to cure fibroids?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query.

I understand your concern. Fibroid itself is not an indication of surgery. Only if the symptoms are unbearable it needs an intervention. For normal pain, the use of painkillers during periods is enough. I am not sure about ayurvedic medications. Fibroids keep growing till you get periods. I suggest you to follow a few instructions mentioned below.

  1. Take a tablet of Ormeloxifene (oral contraceptive) 60 mg twice weekly for three to five years. They block the effect of estrogen on the uterus, and fibroids slowly shrink.
  2. Take Ulipristal, a progesterone receptor blocker, daily for three months.
  3. Take Leuprolide acetate 3.75 mg injections monthly once for three to six months.

Kindly consult a specialist, talk to them and take medications with their consent.

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
