Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 32-year-old woman. Two days ago, I had an injury to my right eye, as my kid accidentally poked it. Today, my eye has turned red and painful; however, I can see clearly and have no changes in vision. Will this red mark in my eye remain forever? Also, will it affect my vision in any way? Kindly advise any home remedies or eye drops. Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. There is mild inflammation in the eye that will resolve in a week. It does not remain for your entire life, nor will it affect your eyesight. I suggest you the treatment plan which includes cold compress for the affected eye. Eye drops Refresh tears (Carboxymethylcellulose) to be used three to four times daily for a week. Eyedrops Moxicip KT (Moxifloxacin Hydrochloride 0.5% w/v, and Ketorolac Tromethamine 0.5% w/v). If the problem persists, I suggest you consult a local ophthalmologist. I hope this helps. Kindly revert in case of further questions. Thank you.
