Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have been unable to have comfortable intercourse for two months and am not sure why. At first, I noticed dilute bloody tissue or discharge, which was probably blood from my period just about to start. Then I saw my vagina was very itchy for a week. Since then, occasionally, I would have a spot or two of dilute but bright red blood come out. It also burns when I urinate sometimes. I also notice every now and again. Some tissue-like discharge comes out when I urinate. All this started happening after I left my hometown. And since it has started, I tried to have intercourse four times, and each time it felt tight and dry, and the more posterior part of my vulva (it feels like it is the vulva I could be wrong) stays irritated for the two days or so. It is irritated like it feels dry, like when you wipe after urinating, and it is already dry, but you keep wiping anyway. I am embarrassed to have intercourse, and I do not want this to get in the way of a relationship. I have taken treatment for UTI or yeast infection in the past. Kindly help me.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your explanation very carefully, and I am sorry that you are suffering from these problems. I suggest you have to see a local doctor. The probability that you are suffering from some form of infection that needs to be treated with prescription medicine is above 90%. Therefore please set an appointment with a gynecologist. At the same time, please be careful when having intercourse. You might be infectious, so no unprotected intercourse. I suggest you do the following investigations:

1) Visual inspection.

2) Swab test.

3) Blood test.

I hope this was helpful.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
