Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I had undergone pap smear test and PVS ultrasound yesterday due to some vaginal health issues. I have got the results of PVS ultrasound. I want to understand the results and to know whether I am in good health or whether I have any other abnormalities. I had unusual pinkish or pale brown discharge with an odor. It happened before and after my periods. It also happens when I do not have periods. I experienced pain last time when I had sexual contact with my partner. My gynecologist is waiting for my pap smear report. I am waiting for a gynecologist opinion regarding the results. Please suggest.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

There are more chances for you to have a chronic infection of the cervix which ultimately leads to foul-smelling discharge. But a few possibilities of other things are also there. That's why your gynecologist is waiting for pap smear report, and she will prescribe you medication according to the discharge type, amount and color. You may have to take medication up to 21 days, and you may require to test the discharge. Drink more water and keep the vaginal area dry. Do not have intercourse. These precautions will help you in decreasing the infection and recurrence.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
